So you want to make a difference in the world – through your business or your job – but what you’re doing isn’t working. And maybe there are time when you feel like giving up? Well, you’re in great company – it happens to most of us, when we miss out this one vital step that nobody is talking about. In today’s Dare To Dream Bigger podcast episode I’m going to let you know why it’s happening – and what you can do about it: [Read more…] about Want To Make A Bigger Difference? But What You’re Doing Isn’t Working? Here’s Why
how to change the world
“Am I too old?” We’ve all done it. “I can’t [insert XYZ dream here] because I’m too old / too young / not experienced enough / not qualified enough / I’ll never catch up / it’s too late.”
I’ve done it, too. For nearly a decade I didn’t stand in my ‘Soul-Shoes’ because I figured I had to be 40 for anyone to believe in me.
Nowadays, my newsfeed is full of 24 year olds making world-changing documentaries and writing books, so it would be easy to assume I’m now too old.
And I hear it so often from the entrepreneurs and budding entrepreneurs I work with. It’s easy to convince ourselves that the message out there is that ‘old is bad’ and ‘it’s too late to start’. But it doesn’t have to be that way! [Read more…] about Am I Too Old? Would You Stop Using Your Age As An Excuse, Already?
If you’re ever tempted to play small, even though you’re dreaming big, or if you’re secretly changing your act to please the crowd, here’s some wisdom from the late, great David Bowie – it’s a short video all about being authentic.
He reminds you about what’s really important – and kicks your backside so that you don’t sell yourself out, changing who you are, just to fit it or to please others.
And his advice on comfort zones is gold dust. [Read more…] about Secretly Changing Your Act To Please The Crowd?
How often do you hear me banging on about how you need to change your limiting beliefs, hidden blocks, excuses and secret fears getting in the way of the difference you want to make in the world? And how often do I spill the beans (usually for free – I’m a compulsive over-giver on this) on how you can ditch those hidden blocks, self-sabotage patterns and feeling like a fraud?
And, if you’ve tried it on for size, you’ll know that the stuff I teach works. You might even think it rocks. It has helped many thousands of passionate world-changers, just like you, to create breakthroughs in their lives.
But here’s the thing: the work I share is wasted, for probably 95% of the people who use it.
Why? It’s not because it doesn’t get results – it does – with knobs on.
And, initially, it makes them feel great – positive, empowered and enthusiastic.
But I need to let you in on the secret of why I DON’T want you to ditch your limiting beliefs…
Why write a book? You’re a busy entrepreneur – what difference would it make to you? You’re a pro at the self-talk about being too busy – or it’s just a ‘vanity project’… But your heart is secretly dreaming of writing your non-fiction book. You know your ‘system’ works – your clients tell you how much you help them – and you’d love to reach a wider audience.
But it’s hard to know where to get started, how to write a non fiction book or how to get a book published – let alone selling. So it goes on the back burner; another mañana-day dream.
Then one day, your 90th birthday sneaks up on you, and you realise you never wrote that book. And now it feels like it’s too late.
I don’t want that to happen to you. So here’s a loving butt-kick, to help you sneak that book up your priority list.
